David Moore

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 27, 1938 to OPC pastor James and Nancy Moore, David Moore spent much of his childhood in Baltimore, his high school years in California and then attended Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He went on to attend Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. While there, he met his wife, Grace Cutler, and together they were missionaries in Japan with the OPC Mission for 32 years (1968–2000). He was one of the founding members of Yamagata Chapel, a church-plant in Yamagata City, Japan. Later, moving to Orlando, FL and then to Queens, NY, David worked for Language Line, an English/Japanese interpreting company until retirement. An accomplished linguist, David knew 5 languages well (English, Japanese, Hebrew, Greek & Latin) and dabbled in a few others.
